You may call it a “tale of two terminals.”

On Saturday, November 16, Manila’s Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) opened five new stations that are part of the first phase of its extension to Cavite province.

These stations are Redemptorist-Aseana, MIA, Asia World (PITX), Ninoy Aquino Avenue, and Dr. Santos station.

The lattermost of which is currently the southernmost end until the construction and opening of the Zapote station in the project’s phase 2, and eventually, the Niog station in Bacoor City, Cavite in the final phase.

During its opening day, Trendrod joined the rest of the commuting public and enthusiasts in exploring the new stretch of the oldest light rail line in the country.

In this video, enjoy a virtual ride from the new Dr. Santos terminal in Sucat to the former southern end at Baclaran station.
