The popular comedian has joined in the fun.
In a post on her Instagram account, the Unkabogable Phenomenal Box-Office Superstar Vice Ganda dropped some images from her out-of-town trip.
In the caption, the TV host and blockbuster movie star referenced a line from her 2013 movie Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, specifically of Girlie, which is one of her four characters.
“Goodness gracious! Ikaw yung nagbeach!! You were the one caught posing in Amanpulo!!! Oh my God no way! I cannot take this anymore! No way!!!!” she wrote.
In another, which was lifted from a story and reuploaded by a fan account on X (formerly Twitter), Vice even did the line all over again. As of this writing, it has amassed over 91,000 likes on the platform.
Vice’s repeated referencing of the movie, which was an entry to the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival, comes amid the renewed popularity of the Wenn Deramas creation through the line itself during the Holy Week break.
This has since led to fans and other Filipinos posing their own memes and even sharing other clips from the movie on social media.
Star Cinema’s upload of full-length feature film even gained over 2 million views in the past week, with it now having 7 million views in total, as of this writing.
The story follows long-separated quadruplets Girlie, Peter, Mark, and Panying (all played by Vice Ganda) whose worlds will collide after Peter asks for Mark’s liver for his transplant.
This will then led to the riotous dynamics between the siblings, who are children of Pia (Maricel Soriano) and Pete (Joey Marquez) in the movie.
During its original theatrical run, it grossed over PHP421 million in the box-office, which made it the highest grossing Filipino movie of all-time for a time.
