Amidst the poor weather conditions in parts of the country and the mass exodus to the provinces for the upcoming ‘Undas’ break.
The following local government units (LGUs) and government branches in the Philippines have suspended classes or directed the shift to alternative learning modalities, as well as canceled work in the gov’t on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
The announcements are primarily caused by the inclement weather brought by Super Typhoon Leon the rebuilding efforts in the aftermath of severe tropical storm Kristine that hit the country last week.
Although, some have also cited the exodus prior to the observance of All Saints’ Day on Friday, November 1 and All Souls’ Day on Saturday, November 2.
