After weeks of speculations, on Monday, October 28, TV5 officially introduced the newest host of its long-running tabloid talk show ‘Face To Face’ and she is none other than veteran broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez-Roxas.

She replaces Karla Estrada, who was at helm of the show from its revival as ‘Face 2 Face’ in May 2023 until this October.

With her entry, the talk show will be embracing its new title as ‘Face To Face: Harapan,’ but will continue to feature and address issues between conflicting parties.

Helping in the resolution of these cases is last iteration’s Trio Tagapayo, composed of psychologist Dr. Camille Garcia, ‘Dr. Love’ radio program host Bro. Jun Banaag, and Atty. Lorna Kapunan serving as a legal expert.

Taking on the role as co-hosts for ‘Face To Face: Harapan’ are comedian Donita Nose and ‘Sing Galing’ season 1 grand champion Marimar Tua.

Aside from a new title, the program will also formally move to its new afternoon time slot and begin airing with new episodes on Monday, November 11 on TV5.

‘Face To Face: Harapan’ is also Korina Sanchez-Roxas’ second program with TV5, with the other one being her eponymous magazine show ‘Rated Korina’ that she co-produces with ABS-CBN Studios.

On top of these, she also has the daily primetime newscast ‘Agenda’ with Pinky Webb on the Bilyonaryo News Channel and her celebrity talk show ‘Korina Interviews’ on NET25.

‘Face To Face’ premiered in 2010 as one of the pioneering programs of TV5 during the network’s relaunch as the Kapatid network that year.

It was originally hosted by ‘Tyang’ Amy Perez and the late comedian Hans Mortel.

In 2012, ‘Ateng’ Gelli de Belen took over Perez’s iconic yellow chair amid the latter’s pregnancy with her third son.

The following year, in 2013, after the departure of Amy Perez from TV5 to re-join ABS-CBN, the program was retooled as ‘Face The People’ with de Belen and Tintin Babao, and later on, with Edu Manzano.

In 2023, after a decade, the show was revived by TV5, in conjunction with affiliate Cignal TV, and tapped Karla Estrada and Alex Calleja as the main hosts.
