A new chapter is in the horizon for the top-rating primetime drama series.

On Tuesday, July 16, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ officially introduced Kapuso actress Kim Domingo as the daredevil named ‘Madonna.’
In that episode, she provoked Coco Martin’s ‘Tanggol’ into a fight, which led to her face getting unmasked by the protagonist.
The fistfight then escalated into wrestling match, which ended when Madonna’s getaway car arrived before Tanggol pulled the trigger.
The following night, on Wednesday, July 18, their paths crossed again as Madonna gets introduced as a member of Marcelo’s (played by Nonie Buencamino) gang, which is trying to recruit Tanggol.

Meanwhile, Tanggol’s current apple of the eye Bubbles (Ivana Alawi) will be leaving the series soon.
In an interview by her manager Perry Lansingan, he said that when the production team inquired for Alawi in August 2023, her role in ‘Batang Quiapo’ was originally supposed to last only for three months.
However, as the Tanggol-Bubbles partnership became a hit among the viewers, her character’s storyline was extended for multiple times.
But due to prior commitments that had been agreed upon by her management, Ivana could no longer juggle between those and her taping schedules for the series.
On Wednesday, July 17, Star Magic also issued a statement, which echoed Lansingan’s earlier comments regarding Alawi’s looming exit from the program.
Despite filming her last scenes for ‘Batang Quiapo’ this month, Ivana’s character Bubbles will continue to be seen on the program indefinitely.
