It joins other shows in from various parts of the world.
Last February 16, the 2022 hit romantic drama series, 2 Good 2 Be True, which was top billed by former real-life and onscreen partners Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, also known as KathNiel, made a new record.
This, as the ABS-CBN production achieved a new international milestone as it became the first Philippine teleserye to air on free-to-air television in the Middle East through Dubai One, a leading English-language free-to-air channel widely broadcast across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The series began airing during Ramadan, which is regarded as a major television season in the region.
It airs there daily at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm in an English-dubbed format with Arabic subtitles, appealing to both Arabic and English speaking audiences in the region.
2 Good 2 Be True joins the programming lineup largely composed of international series and films from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and other major English-language markets.
The series follows Eloy (Daniel Padilla), a mechanic and law student determined to clear his father’s name, and Ali (Kathryn Bernardo), a compassionate nurse aspiring to become a doctor.
During its original run in the Philippines in 2022, the show remained in the Netflix Philippines Top 10 for 32 consecutive weeks.
For ABS-CBN, this latest milestone reinforces its continued international expansion as it transitions into a global storytelling company that aims to “bring heartfelt Philippine stories to international audiences across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.”
Moreover, this also builds upon its growing presence in the Middle East, as back in 2024, A Soldier’s Heart became the first Filipino series to debut in Arabic-dubbed format on major video-on-demand platforms in the region.
