They are set to appear in the top-rating afternoon game show.
On April 8, GMA Network’s ‘Family Feud’ with Dingdong Dantes is set to air a special episode featuring the hosts of the Kapuso network’s newest flagship noontime show ‘It’s Showtime.’
In the teaser for the upcoming episode, the teams will be led by Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis.
Joining Vice in her team are Jhong Hilario, Amy Perez, and Jugs Jugueta.
Over at the other bench, Anne’s squad is composed of Vhong Navarro, Teddy Corpuz, and original Philippine ‘Family Feud’ host Ogie Alcasid.
The said guesting is part of the promotional activities for the upcoming broadcast of ‘It’s Showtime’ on GMA-7 starting April 6.
Their entry to the main Kapuso channel comes nine months after they first joined the network via the GTV channel in July 2023.
It is also the latest development in the noontime space, which had been in “shake up” mode since the departure of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon from TAPE, Inc. in May 2023.
The trio later found their new home in TV5, which formerly carried the simulcast of ‘Showtime’ from July 2022 until June 2023.
As a result of which, TAPE clinged on to the ‘Eat Bulaga’ title and established a program led by Kapuso personalities Isko Moreno, Paolo Contis, and company in June 2023.
In January 2024, after the trademark win of TVJ and the court order from the Marikina Regional Trial Court, TAPE rebranded their noontime show as ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’
However, last March 2, TAPE abruptly canceled the show and aired reruns until March 7, which resulted to GMA’s temporary noontime block formed by movies and an adjusted ‘Afternoon Prime’ drama belt airing from 2:00 pm last March 8.
On March 20, GMA and ABS-CBN formally signed a new partnership agreement for ‘It’s Showtime,’ which will see the program continue to air on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and GTV, on top of its additional platforms in GMA-7, GMA Pinoy TV, and Kapuso Stream.
‘It’s Showtime’ will air on GMA-7 starting April 6 at 11:30 am.
Meanwhile, Team Vice and Team Anne will battle it out for the Php 200,000 pot money in ‘Family Feud’ on April 8 at 5:40 pm on GMA.
