The Korean coffee chain is heading to the Philippines very soon.

The official pages of the South Korea-based coffee chain Compose Coffee have recently been activated on various social networking platforms.

Alongside the said move, the chain also announced that its iconic yellow and brown logo will soon be installed at one of the busiest spots in the metro.

This, as its first Philippine store is expected to open at Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig in the near future.

While the formal date has yet to be announced, it has already garnered interest from Filipinos, especially fans of the K-pop group BTS. V, one of the band’s seven members, serves as the ambassador of the said brand.

Compose Coffee originated in South Korea and opened its first store back in 2014. Since then, the brand has expanded rapidly to more than 3,000 stores in its home turf, fueled by strong consumer demand and a highly efficient, scalable operating model.

Last February, Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), through its subsidiary Fresh N’ Famous Foods, Inc. (FNF), announced that it has entered into a Master Franchise Agreement to bring the Korean chain to the Philippines.

It should be noted that Jollibee purchased a 70% controlling stake in the chain in 2024, which at that time only had 2,000 stores, for the price of USD340 million.

The introduction of the brand to the market, the company told, forms part of the Jollibee’s strategy to strengthen its position in the high-growth coffee and beverage segment.

Jollibee Group Philippines Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Joseph Tanbuntiong said: “We are extremely excited to introduce Compose Coffee to the Philippines this 2026, aligned with its mission of making high-quality coffee more accessible to consumers.”

This planned launch strengthens one of our key strategic growth pillars-the coffee and tea segment-and positions the Jollibee Group to play a more meaningful role in our customers’ daily routines. We look forward to bringing more moments of joy to Filipinos through innovative, world-class beverage experiences,” he added.

Meanwhile, Richard Shin, Chief Financial and Risk Officer and CEO of Jollibee Group International, noted: “Compose Coffee’s entry into the Philippines reflects the Jollibee Group’s commitment to scaling brands with strong global potential.

He underscored that in every market where Compose Coffee operates, the restaurant giant has seen a disciplined operating model and deep focus on product quality that creates a repeatable formula for growth.

We’re excited to bring that momentum to the Philippines and introduce more consumers to a brand that delivers both excellence and accessibility in every cup,” added Shin.

Its menu includes well-loved favorites such as Americanos and flavored lattes, as well as Korean fusions and innovations like the Buyeo Chestnut menu—which surpassed 400,000 cups sold within one week of launch and its digital campaign generated 15 million views.

Its total product sales increase by more than 10% year-on-year in 2025, in spite of a highly competitive market, with the collaboration with BTS member V seen to have strengthened the brand’s competitiveness.
