Entering a brand new era in their sound.

On Thursday, June 4, the P-pop group BGYO unveiled their newest extended play entitled On Demand.

This new mini-album features seven tracks, led by the single Fresh, which was first issued in February, as well as Forever Tonight, Sinta, Mean Girl, Life’s Too Short, Raindrop, and Trono, which showcase dynamic mix of pop, R&B, and hip-hop influences.

Alongside the EP, the music video for Forever Tonight was also published on the same evening and has since received over 28,000 views on YouTube as of this writing.

It is described as a “smooth and heartfelt track about wanting to make a special moment with a loved one last forever.”

Moreover, it was composed by BGYO members Mikki and Nate together with global songwriters GG Ramirez, Dan Henig, Aaron Paris, and Pontus Kalm — with some having worked with K-pop juggernauts Blackpink and Twice, among others.

In a statement, the five-member team composed on Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate said that they transitioned to the themes of modern love, specifically being “carefree, fun using the concept of new media like streaming, internet, video.”

Why new media? We want to be with you, our fans, in everything that you do through our music. Just like new media, it’s ever-present and heavily incorporated into all of our lives,” BGYO said.

They also happily shared that they have “found the perfect sound” for them, with the EP also being “perfect for late-night vibing or early morning feel-good soundtrips.”

Meanwhile, on Saturday, June 6, the On Demand EP launch event will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on Saturday, June 6.

During which, fans can experience the new tracks live for the very first time, with admission being free through registration via the SM Malls Online app.

BGYO was soft-launched back in 2020 as SHA Boys, having been formed through the Star Hunt Academy of ABS-CBN prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The following year, in January 2021, they made their official debut alongside the release of their first single, The Light.

Since then, they have dropped songs like He’s Into HerWhen I’m With YouThe BaddestTumitigil Ang Mundo, and Gigil, among others.

Recently, they also performed as one of the three Filipino acts at the D.U.N.K. Festival in Japan, alongside SB19 and Cup Of Joe, as well as made an appearance on the GMA afternoon series Born To Shine.
