It will be the home of the Philippine Tennis Academy (PTA).
Last April 24, Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) inked a partnership deal with the Philippine Tennis Center for Excellence, Inc. (PTCEI) for the the development of the world-class International Tennis Center within its Vermosa township in Cavite.
Through this tie-up, the purpose-built, high-performance facility PTA International Tennis Center will be constructed and will feature eight tennis competition courts, one center court, and 16 pickleball courts.
Alongside those, there will also be dedicated training and wellness facilities, as well as Athletes’ Quarters that can accommodate between 60 and 80 trainees.
It it will also be open to the public, which will allow broader access to quality tennis and pickleball facilities, programs, and coaching, and helping grow the sport at all levels, noted Ayala Land in its press statement.
The project is also viewed to help enhance the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub by strengthening its role as a national venue for training, competition, and community engagement.
John Estacio, Vermosa Senior Project Development Head, said in his comment, “Vermosa is designed as an integrated estate where education, sports, and community come together.”
“Partnerships like (this one with) the Philippine Tennis Academy allow us to create long-term value not just for residents, but for the broader community,” he added.
For its part, the Philippine Tennis Association leadership emphasized, “This is more than a training facility—it is a platform for opportunity. By opening our doors beyond our elite program, we are creating a space where every Filipino—regardless of background—can access the sport, discover their potential, and be part of a growing tennis community.“
It added that the partnership with Ayala Land also helps them build not just future champions, but a “stronger, more inclusive sporting culture for the country.”
The Philippine Tennis Academy was founded by Filipino philanthropists including Oscar Hilado and Romeo Chan.
Over the past decade, it has helped national medalists, international-level competitors, and scholar-athletes and also opened opportunities for young talents from underserved communities.
“The partnership aligns PTA’s mission of developing globally competitive Filipino tennis players with Vermosa’s blueprint of an integrated, future-ready community centered on living, learning, and connectivity,” furthered the press statement.
