The Department of Education (DepEd) has launched the the new Procurement Information Hub, which looks to ensure that essential resources such as textbooks and school infrastructure better reach students through enhanced public accountability and data-driven monitoring.

Through this dashboard, key procurement information are consolidated on one accessible platform, instead of going through multiple documents and reports.

Beyond the general figures, the hub also features a detailed gallery of awarded projects that lists project titles, contract value, quantity, award date, and winning bidders.

In addition, the dashbard provides a comprehensive view of the total Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) and the number of projects being implemented by the DepEd Central Office, which also allows stakeholders to monitor how resources are being distributed across various programs under the General Appropriations Act—including learning materials and information and communication technology.

By integrating this data, the dashboard supports better monitoring, coordination, and data-driven decision-making to improve educational service delivery.

It also contains a dedicated mechanism for the public to report procurement-related issues, including potential incidents of fraud or corruption, encouraging greater citizen participation.

This transparency tool was established pursuant to the New Government Procurement Act or Republic Act No. 12009, which was signed into law back in July 2024.

Secretary Angara noted that it is part of the administration’s vision of a “digital-forward and transparent government,” where every peso for our learners is accounted for.

By opening our procurement processes to the public, we align with the President’s mandate to eliminate corruption and ensure that school infrastructure and supplies are delivered without delay,” he furthered.
