BABYMONSTER unveils new mini-album ‘Choom’

Last Monday, May 4, the Korean pop group BABYMONSTER unveiled their newest mini-album entitled Choom, which is their third Korean extended play.

Featured as the lead single of the new recorded is the namesake track, which also had its over three-minute-long track uploaded on the same day. As of this writing, it has already crossed 30 million views on YouTube.

Meanwhile, also part of the mini-album are three other tracks, namely Moon, I Like It, and Locked In.

Choom marks their latest release after We Go Up was dropped back in October 2025. It is also the team’s second comeback without Rami, who has been on hiatus since the middle of 2025.

Aside from the comeback, the team has also confirmed the staging of a world tour that will run from 2026 to 2027. Stops include Seoul in South Korea, Kobe, Fukuoka, Yokohama, Chiba, Nagoya, and Osaka in Japan, with cities in the rest of Asia-Pacific, North America, South America, Europe, and Oceania.

BABYMONSTER is a septet comprised of Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita, and made their debut back in 2023 under the agency YG Entertainment. The group is known for their debut song Batter Up, as well as Sheesh, Drop, and Hot Sauce.
