Kapatid viewers got a “liquid glass” update of sorts.
On Monday, April 27, Philippine broadcast network TV5 launched a refreshed version of its logo.
Whilst maintaining the same numerical 5 inside a circle look, which has been in use since 2019, the Kapatid network gave the 2021 logo a glossy feel, which is now embossed with a light streak giving it a livelier look.
The said logo is a departure from the flat icon that has been utilized for the better part of eight years in total—including the Get It On 5 era of the station from 2018 to 2019.
Early birds were able to catch the swanky new five, which also came packaged with new on-air and social media materials, which completes an update that has been called by viewers and creatives as akin to the Liquid Glass update of Apple’s iOS in 2025.
Looks aside, the new TV5 logo also signifies a major shift for the station on the same day.
This, as it launches two new primetime dramas in A Secret In Prague with Enrique Gil and Andrea Brillantes and My Bespren Emman starring JM de Guzman, Shaina Magdayao, and Sid Lucero as part of its equally retooled TodoMax Primetime lineup—which has dropped Singko from its name.
The debut of these programs marks the first time in years that TV5 will be putting back-to-back network-produced original shows on the evening block. More so, teleseryes, which will effectively create a three-way battle between them and ABS-CBN (ALLTV2) and GMA Network.
In addition, TV5, together with its parent MediaQuest, will also launch this May 5 the new identity of its talent management arm MQ Artist Agency.
It will officially be known as Star Worx under the stewardship of veteran starmaker Johnny Manahan, who is also in-charge of the network’s flagship variety show Vibe, effective on the said date.
TV5 is seen nationwide via free-to-air, cable, and satellite television. Original programs are also streaming via its Kapatid Livestream service on YouTube.
