‘P-pop Kings’ SB19 to perform at Summer Sonic 2026 in Tokyo

On Wednesday, March 25, P-pop boy band SB19 was officially announced as one of the music acts that will perform at the upcoming Summer Sonic 2026 event in Tokyo, Japan, which will happen on August 15.

In a video uploaded by Sony Music Japan, members Josh, Stell, Pablo, Ken, and Justin, delivered the news to their fans, A’TINs, in the “Land of the Rising Sun.

The team is set to join the lineup comprising of the likes of Blackpink’s Jennie, The Strokes, Bump of Chicken, FKA Twigs, Kasabian, Keshi, David Byrne, Alex Warren, Steve Lacy, L’Arc-en-Ciel, Jamiroquai, LE SSERAFIM, Pentatonix, and more.

This is yet another major international show for the group, which was also recently confirmed as the first Filipino music act to perform at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.

Summer Sonic will also mark their return to Japan, where the recently performed as part of the performing line-up of the D.U.N.K. Showcase in Yokohama, which also featured the OPM band Cup of Joe and another P-pop group, BGYO.

The five-member team is also preparing for their much-anticipated Wakas At Simula: Trilogy Finale Concert at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City on April 18, 2026.

Last February, SB19 released their latest single entitled Visa, which is set to be part of their upcoming Wakas At Simula album that will come out on Friday, March 27.
