Recently, Ayala Group companies ACEN RES and ACMobility have announced a partnership that would see them offer businesses an integrated energy and mobility solution that combines 100% renewable energy supply with electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

Through this tie-up, ACEN RES customers, including commercial and industrial establishments, will be able to install EV charging stations within their facilities, with electricity sourced from ACEN’s portfolio of renewable energy assets.

ACEN RES customers may opt deploy charging stations for employee use, support their corporate EV fleets, or operate publicly accessible charging facilities as Charge Point Operators (CPOs).

For clients that will open their charging stations to the public will be integrated into ACMobility’s EV charging ecosystem through the Evro app, which will allow EV drivers to locate, access, and pay for charging sessions seamlessly.

The platform will also provide automated billing and payment reconciliation, simplifying charging operations for site hosts.

Eric Francia, President and CEO of ACEN, noted: “The convergence of clean energy and electric mobility is essential to the Philippines’ energy transition. Through this partnership, we are making it easier for businesses to adopt renewable energy and EV charging solutions, helping accelerate decarbonization across both operations and transport.”

Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility, meanwhile, noted that electric mobility delivers greater value when powered by clean energy.

Together with ACEN RES, we are enabling businesses to cut emissions by integrating renewable supply with EV charging,” he added.

The partnership comes as businesses and consumers increasingly explore electric mobility solutions amid rising fuel costs and a growing focus on sustainability.

Furthermore, the initiative builds on the successful collaboration between ACEN RES and ACMobility, which previously powered some of the Philippines’ first ultrafast EV charging stations in Makati City with 100% renewable energy.

Currently, 6 out of 10 businesses under the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP) have chosen ACEN RES as its renewable energy supplier, according to the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) and the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation (PEMC).

Meanwhile, ACMobility is the country’s leading provider of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), with EV charging stations in over 200 locations nationwide.

Prior to this, ACMobility has also entered into partnerships with other firms, including the Robinsons Land Corporation, where EV charging stations (EVCS) in several Robinsons Land properties across the country starting this year.
