Promising to bring the “Filipino feels” to the province.
On Wednesday, February 18, ABS-CBN’s streaming service iWant announced that it has reached a new partnership with the Kabankalan Communication Antenna TV, Inc. (KCAT), a regional cable and internet provider in Southern Negros.
According to the Kapamilya platform, the deal will see viewers in the area gain expanded access to its library as the iWant app will come pre-installed on KCAT’s Android TV boxes starting March 2026.
This will allow subscribers in towns within the telecoms company’s service areas in Negros Occidental, which are Kabankalan, Cauayan, Himamaylan, Ilog, Mabinay, Sipalay, and Candoni, to access the streaming platform directly from their television sets.
KCAT has also availed iWant Premium Monthly Plan vouchers, which will be made available to its subscribers as part of its enhanced cable and broadband offerings.
Signing on the part of ABS-CBN, during the inking of the deal in early 2026, was its Digital head Jamie Lopez. While KCAT was represented by its president and chief executive officer Jose Luis Dabao.
According to the network, this move expands iWant’s distribution beyond major urban centers and enables subscribers in Southern Negros to “more conveniently access premium Filipino entertainment through KCAT’s Android TV box integration.”
Among the offerings of iWant are its slate of original programming, shows and series from ABS-CBN and its partners, and classic and blockbuster films, as well as select titles available ahead of free TV—including the upcoming ABS-CBN and GMA collaboration The Secrets of Hotel 88 that will stream starting February 23, seven days before of its broadcast on GMA beginning March 2.
Also available on iWant are ABS-CBN’s top-rated prime time teleseryes led by FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, What Lies Beneath, and Roja.
