Two major life updates from the Kapamilya star.
In a post on her Instagram account, actress Barbie Imperial shared to her 7.9 million followers a new milestone that she has achieved after being in showbiz for the past 10 years.
The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate shared that the construction of her new family home in Bicol has already begun, with her sharing images from the recent groundbreaking and the rendering of the house that has a view of the Mayon Volcano.
In the caption, she wrote: “MAY BAHAY NA AKO SA BICOL… oh my… 10 years in the industry and was able to put a roof over my mama and kuya’s heads, and now i have my own home in my province.“
The actress then thanked the people who helped her achieve her goals in life, including her hime network ABS-CBN and talent management group Star Magic, as well as those who continue to support her.
Barbie continued, “nakakaiyak kasi sobrang pinagpaguran ko to ng ilang taon.. puyat, pagod, at ilang beses na iyak. huhu salamat sa [D]iyos at syempre sa nagiisa kong lakas, mama.. para sayo to lahat.”
Aside from building her new home, the 27-year-old star has also made an announcement about another facet of her personal life, her love life.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News at the sidelines of the official launch of the title for her new series, Blood Vs. Duty, Imperial confirmed long-standing rumors about her relationship with her co-star in the project, Richard Gutierrez.
When asked about the real score between them, she referenced the answer made by her boyfriend in a prior interview and told, “what you see is what you get.“
“Can I just say that we weren’t hiding. We just chose to have a private relationship talaga, ‘coz we know na ayaw namin ng, even I… What people don’t know they can’t ruin,” told Barbie.
Meanwhile, Richard shared that they have been looking forward to work with each other for a long time, and finally, they will in the upcoming series.
He added, “It’s refreshing makikita rin kami ng audience together, on-screen. We really try to live privately, away from social media. But now we’re gonna be working together.”
Rumors about their relationship first circulated in late 2024 after Imperial was spotted in the international shoot of Gutierrez’s hit series Incognito in Italy.
