Earlier this month, Filipino fashion retail giant Penshoppe launched in its stores nationwide the Penshoppe Play line, which introduces a range of activewear designed for everyday movement and activity—may it be for training, walking, stretching, or simply staying on the go.

This new athleisure offering enters the market as more Filipinos look to stay active in ways that fit their everyday routines. It also want to emphasize that movement doesn’t have to be intense to
be meaningful.

According to the company, unlike traditional performance-driven sportswear focusing on high-performance or competitive fitness, the collection is built around a more flexible approach to activity and is built for comfort, accessibility, and ease of movement.

The design makes it suitable for both beginners
and those returning to an active lifestyle, especially with the line featuring versatile pieces that transition easily between workouts and daily
wear.

Included in this collection are breathable tops, flexible shorts, lightweight outerwear, and
essential accessories—each designed to support a wide range of low to moderate-intensity
activities.

Affordability and value for money also makes the collection accessible to a broader audience, with tops priced starting at PHP 399, while shorts begin at PHP 599. Lightweight jackets are available from PHP 1,599, with accessories such as socks and caps starting at PHP 249 and PHP 429,
respectively.

The collection is also designed to support movement across disciplines, with the line especially relevant across different sports communities due to its range and versatility.

Its lightweight tops easily suit basketball runs and pickup games, flexible shorts for football and soccer training, and breathable layers for runners, cyclists, and endurance athletes.

Notably, even for sports like pickleball and wall climbing, the pieces are built to transition seamlessly between warm-ups, training sessions, and recovery.

The line is not just performance-adjacent, but lifestyle-ready gear for athletes and active
individuals navigating multiple forms of movement in their day-to-day routines.

The timing of the launch comes as fitness culture is evolving. While structured training and
performance goals remain relevant, more people are now embracing movement as part of everyday life rather than a rigid routine.

From casual runners and gym beginners to individuals balancing work and wellness, there is a growing demand for gear that supports flexible, low-pressure activity.

Movement can start small and still be meaningful,” PENSHOPPE representatives shared,
which highlighted the shift toward a more inclusive approach to staying active.

As the definition of fitness continues to evolve, Penshoppe stands by its philosphy, “Staying active doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. Sometimes, it’s as simple as showing up and moving in your own way.”

Last Friday, March 20, a refreshed assortment rolled out to signal the Penshoppe’s continued expansion into the activewear and athleisure category.

The collection is now available in PENSHOPPE stores nationwide, as well as on its website and mobile application.
