‘SOCO’ to premiere new season featuring new set of true crime stories

On Saturday, April 11, the reboot of the long-running investigative docudrama SOCO: Scene of the Crime Operatives returns for its second season.

Streaming first on iWant, the ABS-CBN News production will feature new cases that will center around family killings, group assaults, and other crimes. The new season opens with Maso, with other confirmed episodes being Pagnanasa and Kuyog.

Joining Gus in season 2 are ABS-CBN reporters Jeff Caparas and Jessie Cruzat, who will present the details and developments of each case.

Early access to these episodes will be made available though iWant starting April 11, which offers it through iWant subscription plans that starts with thr Basic plan priced at PHP35 per month.

That will be seven days ahead of their release on the Kapamilya Online Live and the ABS-CBN News YouTube channel on April 18, on top of its simulcast on television via ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and Kapamilya Channel.

The original version of SOCO premiered on ABS-CBN in 2005 and was one of the longest-running current affairs show of the network until it ended its original run in 2020 following the denial of the Kapamilya network’s franchise renewal bid and the ensuing retrenchment of personnel.

It was then revived as an iWant original limited crime docudrama series in October 2025.
