Four stars without interest in the activity will come together for this show.
In an announcement on Thursday, January 15, streaming platform Netflix announced that a new reality show is in the works with producer Nah Yung-suk, who previously brought viewers hit programs like New Journey to the West, Jinny’s Kitchen, and Earth Arcade.
This project, called Take A Hike! will bring viewers to a mid-winter journey through snowy peaks of South Korea as four non-voluntary hikers embark on a new reality adventure for the first time in their lives.
“Hiking with their own two feet, the series becomes an unexpectedly charming test of grit, teamwork, and good humor,” the platform told.
Announced as cast members are four Korean personalities that fit the program’s synopsis.
Car, the garden is a singer with a distinctive vocal tone who’s also known for their witty comments on the romance reality series Better Late Than Single.
The youngest band member and drummer of Day6, Dowoon, will bring his cheeky and bubbly charm that is effortlessly likeable.
Rising actor Lee Chae-min, who gained global attention for their roles in Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, and Cashero, is a fresh face in unscripted series.
Lastly, AllDay Project’s Tarzzan is a performer whose boundless energy and quirky charm contrast with his chic on-stage aura.
“Their unpredictable chemistry will drive an expedition where fun camaraderie meets some real challenges,” furthered the streaming service.
The series also promises plenty of humor with flashes of genuine emotion as the four push through biting winds and steep climbs.
At present, no details are available regarding the show’s premiere date.
