Two new romantic dramas are coming.
On Friday, January 16, two new Korean series are making their debut on streaming giant Netflix. These are Can This Love Be Translated? and No Tail To Tell.
The first one stars Kim Seon Ho, best known for the likes of Hometown Cha Cha Cha and Start-Up, and Go Youn Jung, who starred in Resident Playbook and Alchemy Of Souls: Light And Shadow.
Together, they will take viewers on a “romantic trip” will being them closer in spite of the language barrier. The story follows Joo Ho-jin (Kim Seon Ho), a calm and capable multilingual interpreter, and Cha Mu-hee (Go Youn Jung), a world-famous celebrity determined to meet him halfway.
Together, they will move through beautiful landscapes as their cross-border romance unfolds across Korea, Japan, Canada, and Italy.
“Ho-jin can interpret various languages with ease, yet finds Mu-hee’s heart the hardest to read. While Mu-hee, though loved by fans around the world, struggles with expressing her own love,” shared Netflix on their dynamics as a pair.
As for the latter series, it is a fantasy rom-com series that will be top-billed by Kim Hye Yoon, who led the time-slip series Lovely Runner and Extraordinary You, and Lomon, who starred in the zombie series All Of Us Are Dead.
The story follows Eun-ho (Kim Hye Yoon), a cynical nine-tailed fox from Myohyangsan Mountain who grants wishes for a living and is determined never to become human—choosing a carefully balanced life over humanity.
Her orderly existence begins to unravel when she crosses paths with Kang Si-yeol (Lomon)—a narcissistic yet warm-hearted star soccer player and whose life is stripped of glamour and defined by routine—who will be figured in an accident.
His life’s own balance is disrupted when a mysterious business card, once given to him by Eun-ho, resurfaces nine years later.
Eun-ho then turns into an ordinary human after a wish gone wrong sparked a magical and chaotic romance.
Both series are now available on the said streaming platform. All 12 episodes of Can This Love Be Translated? are already up, while No Tail To Tell will stream new episodes weekly.
