Last Friday, June 3, original Filipino music (OPM) hitmaker TJ Monterde released the official music video for his single Teka Lang.
The said reel runs for eight-and-a-half minutes and follows a narrative of a young love that began all the way back to the summer of 2003, where teen star and Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0 Kapuso Big Winner Caprice Cayetano was seen.
While camping, she would fall for a guy, who she sadly had to part ways with after their activity.
23 years later, in 2026, their paths would cross once again, with the grown-up version of Caprice’s character portrayed by Heart Evangelista.
While seated inside the bus, she would be shocked when she met the same guy he once fell in love with, who is played in the present time by Heart’s real-life ex-boyfriend and on-screen partner, John Prats.
As of this writing, the video, directed by Irene Villamor, has been viewed more than 1.2 million times on YouTube.
On Instagram, Monterde jokingly wrote “90s kids—you’re welcome po,” pointing to the reunion of Heart and John, who formed one of the biggest love teams of the early 2000s.
Meanwhile, in a post on his own Instagram account, John shared behind-the-scene pictures from the shoot and his message for Heart.
“Thank you, Gummy (Heary) for saying yes to this project,” he opened his open letter. “Sa totoo lang, hindi ko inakala na after so many years, makikita pa tayo ulit sa screen together. Hanggang ngayon parang surreal pa rin isipin.”
He continued, “Salamat sa tiwala at sa pagpayag na maging part ng project na ito. Ang daming memories ang bumalik, pero mas masaya na nakagawa tayo ng bago para sa mga taong sumubaybay sa atin noon. Grabe lang talaga si God. Full circle moment.“
