Ending the year-long legal battle between the quintet and the agency.
In separate statements issued within the past day, ADOR and members of the K-pop girl group NewJeans announced the resumption of the five members under the label.
On Wednesday, November 12, ADOR went to disclose that NewJeans’ members Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intent to continue their activities with the company.
“After careful consideration and thorough discussions with their families, the two members have decided to respect the court’s ruling and uphold their exclusive contracts,” it disclosed.
In line with that, ADOR promised to do its “utmost” for Haerin and Hyein as they continue their entertainment activities.
“We ask for the fans’ warm support and urge everyone to refrain from making unfounded speculations about the members,” it closed the said statement.
Meanwhile, three other members: Minji, Hanni, and Danielle followed suit and declared their return to the agency.
“Hello, this is Minji, Hanni, and Danielle. After careful and thorough discussions, we have decided to return to ADOR,” they in their message sent through a representative.
This development puts an end to the year-long row between the five members and the management, which stemmed from the removal of ADOR’s former CEO Min Hee Jin.
In November 2024, they called an emergency press conference, where they included their demand of Min’s reinstatement, but HYBE, which is the parent company of the label, rejected their request.
Around that time, Hanni also narrated the company’s alleged mistreatment towards her.
However, a Seoul court ultimately junked their case against HYBE last October.
