Instantly, the clip made rounds on social media, with her original post raking in more than 26.1 million views on Facebook as of writing.
Netizens also have since joked around, with some saying that they would not be wishing for anything on their own birthday to give way to the journalist’s special request.
“Huwag muna kayo mag-wish, para hindi matabunan wish ni Ms. Kara David,” one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote.
Currently, multiple corruption issues are hounding the Philippines, with the most recent being the scandal on the missing and substandard flood control projects involving politicians, other government officials, and private companies.
In response, protests are being organized by various groups too and will be happening on Sunday in Manila and Quezon City on Sunday, September 21.
