It returns this year to celebrate “Stories in Every Form.”

The Manila International Book Fair (MIBF), heralded as country’s biggest and longest-running literary event, officially opened its doors on Wednesday, September 10.

Running until Sunday, September 14, the annual event welcomes anew thousands of book lovers, educators, and industry professionals to the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The five-day event promises a vibrant celebration of literature, learning, and creativity under the theme Get Lit: Stories in Every Form.

Spanning two full floors of the convention center, the fair is poised to be one of its most diverse editions yet, featuring hundreds of exhibitors, special events, and co-located summits that cater to a wide range of interests.

“It’s a joy to see the community—readers, writers, publishers, and educators—all come together under one roof,” said Irene Lloren, President of Primetrade Asia, Inc., the event’s organizer.

‘Stories in Every Form’ truly comes to life as you walk through our two floors. We have traditional books, of course, but we also have summits on national issues, a hub for creative supplies, and events that connect literature to film,” she continued.

This year’s MIBF promises goes beyond the printed word, offering a rich schedule of events from day one. Opening day highlights include the Tourism and Hospitality Education Summit and the ‘U.G. An Underground Tale’ Book Launch by Anvil Publishing with journalist Benjamin Pimentel and actor Elijah Canlas.

The week is packed with more significant events, including the National Book Development Board’s Ink and Impact on September 11.

On September 12, the MMDA, MMFF, and ABS-CBN Publishing will present the launch of the landmark book, ’50 Years of the Metro Manila Film Festival.’ The fair will also feature the ‘Quezon, The Story Behind the Film’ Book Launch on September 14.

The Manila International Book Fair is open to the public from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
