EXO’s Chanyeol to release ‘Upside Down’ EP this August

In a social media post on Monday, August 4, Korean music agency SM Entertainment announced the upcoming solo comeback of EXO member Chanyeol.

The 32-year-old rapper-singer is set to release on Monday, August 25, his sophomore mini-album titled ‘Upside Down’.

This new extended play marks his first release since he made his debut as a standalone music act in August 2024 with ‘Black Out,’ which carried the namesake title track.

Aside from new music, Chanyeol will also be holding a two-night concert in South Korea later this month to coincide with the mini-album.

Chanyeol made his debut as a rapper together with the rest Exo in 2012, the group popularly known for their songs ‘Growl,’ ‘Wolf,’ ‘Monster,’ ‘Ko Ko Bop,’ ‘Love Shot,’ and ‘Obsession,’ among many others.

He later ventured into solo projects, such as the single ‘SSFW’ and his collaboration with Punch for the song ‘Stay With Me’ for the official soundtrack of the hit 2016 series ‘Guardian: The Great and Lonely God.’

In October 2024, he visited the Philippines for a fan-con which was part of his ‘City-scape’ tour and a separate fansign event.
