Making fans go “kilig.”
Last Sunday, July 20, the annual Star Magic All-Star Games 2025, organized by the Kapamilya talent management agency and ABS-CBN Studios, was held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
That day, actor Donny Pangilinan took on the role of the captain for the Team Shooting Stars, which was composed of male talents led by coach Gerald Anderson and other players like Seth Fedelin, Joao Constancia, Emilio Daez, River Joseph, BGYO’s Mikki, and JM Ibarra.
The members of Anbilibabols, coached by content creator Cong TV, with Junnie Boy, Boss Keng, Dudut, Burong, Yoh, and Carding, as well as other members of the ‘Payaman’ gang.
That game marked the rematch between both teams, which previously battled it out on the court back in 2023.
Although, for Team Shooting Stars captain Donny, the event was further made special as his perennial on-screen partner, Belle Mariano, went courtside to express support to the group.
Much to the delight of DonBelle fans, the matinee idol dropped some photos of his highlights during the basketball match, where his team narrowly won with a three-point lead over Anbolibabols.
In one of the photos, Donny was seated beside Belle, who was seen carrying a giant photo cutout of him, as their fans stood behind the duo.
To date, the image carousel has garnered over 371,000 likes on Instagram.
The DonBelle pair was first seen in the 2021 TV series ‘He’s Into Her,’ which was later followed by more projects, such as dramas ‘Can’t Buy Me Love,’ and ‘How To Spot A Red Flag,’ as well as the movies ‘Love Is Color Blind’ and ‘An Inconvenient Love’.
However, in early 2025, it was revealed by the management that both stars will be seen in separate projects in the forseeable future.
Since then, Donny became part of the judging for the seventh season of ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ and is confirmed to be part of a new project by ABS-CBN’s Dreamscape Entertainment unit.
While Belle has been announced as one of the five lead stars in the upcoming Star Cinema family movie ‘Meet, Greet & Bye’ alongside Maricel Soriano, Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, and JK Labajo.
