On Thursday, May 8, streaming platform Viva One and the content production arm Studio Viva revealed details regarding one of its upcoming adaptations.
The group is set to produce the live-action version of ‘Mission Impossible: Seducing Drake Palma,’ an online novel created by Beeyotch and has amassed 79.5 million reads on the Wattpad platform.
Tapped to portray the titular role is none other than Rabin Angeles, who also plays Yuri Hanamichi in the breakthrough hit series ‘Ang Mutya Ng Section E‘ that streamed on Viva One from January to April 2025.
“Si Drake, kahit di nagsasalita, malalim. Sanay ako madami lines, dito wala masiyado. Mata mo lang magsasalita. Mahirap po,” Rabin described his character and how it differs from Yuri.
Drake Sebastian Palma is said to be a “smart but aloof guy” who comes from a rich family. He will then meet Alys, an girl with an unstoppable attitude that will go on a mission to seduce him.
Set to direct the new digital series is Crisanto Aquino, who also helmed the movie ‘My Future You‘ that earned him a Best Director Award at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024 and Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) 2025.
‘Seducing Drake Palma‘ is scheduled to stream on Viva One later this year.
