New music from the popular singer-actress is coming real soon.
In a statement on Monday, May 12, EDAM Entertainment confirmed upcoming plans of South Korean multi-hyphenated artist, IU.
According to the management company, the ‘Nation’s Sweetheart,’ as she is known in her home country, will be releasing a new album this May.
“IU is currently preparing a new album, with the goal of a release in May,” wrote EDAM.
This new album comes over a year after her last comeback, which happened in February 2024, with the mini album titled ‘The Winning‘.
Additionally, this also comes right after IU’s successful drama comeback through the popular series ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines,’ where she acted alongside the likes of Park Bo Gum and Kim Seon Ho.
Aside from that, IU is has also tapped ASTRO member and idol-actor Cha Eunwoo to participate in the music video for a single that will be part of the new album.
Previously, the two stars collaborated in a campaign of jewelry brand Chaumet, where netizens and fans mutually praised their chemistry in the photos.
It also comes a few days after Eunwoo’s agency, Fantagio, confirmed Eunwoo’s interview to join the military band once he formally enlists in the mandatory military service in July.
