Translating its Valentine’s season success to streaming.
Three months after screening in cinemas, the blockbuster romance drama movie The Loved One landed on Netflix Philippines last May 14.
The movie, topbilled by Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales, has since clinched the top spot in the platform’s Top 10 Movies in the Philippines list for two consecutive days, as of this writing.
The film follows Elle (Anne Curtis) and Eric (Jericho Rosales), who were two exes who cross paths again after their separation.
It made its theatrical premiere last February and became the first film of 2026 to surpass the PHP100 million threshold, cementing itself as a blockbuster success.
Under the direction of Irene Emma Villamorx it reached PHP110 million in the box-office within nine days.
Aside from the Philippines, the movie was also released internationally with screenings having taken place in select countries and territories worldwide.
This project also marked the reunion between the two superstars, who previously starred in another picture, Baler in 2008 and the adaptation of the Korean drama Green Rose in 2010.
