All these are due to happen on Monday.
Starting January 20, GMA Prime will be changing things up in its programming grid, as it sees the launch of a new season of its top-rated show and the move of an ongoing series to a new slot.
First of, ‘Lolong: Bayani Ng Bayan’ starring Ruru Madrid will begin.
The second season of the GMA Public Affairs series will take place after the events of the first season, and will see the return of old faces and the entry of new characters.
Joining Ruru in the cast are Shaira Diaz, Paul Salas, Jean Garcia, Martin del Rosario, and John Arcilla — who is making his return to the Kapuso network after 8 years.
The all-new season of ‘Lolong’ will air at 8:00 pm, right after flagship newscast “24 Oras,” with a delayed telecast at 9:40 pm on GTV.
Meanwhile, as a result of the premiere, Miguel Tanfelix’s ‘Mga Batang Riles’ is moving to its new time at 8:50 pm on GMA and 10:30 pm on GTV.
‘MBR’ has completed its first two weeks, which saw the introduction of the fictional rail-side village Sitio Liwanag.
After a massive fire that engulfed the sitio, Tanfelix’s character Kidlat, along with his friend Dagul (Antonio Vinzon) and archrival Sig (Raheel Bhyria), were accused of setting the flame and committing arson.
As their roles are still under the legal age, they have been sent to Boystown, where they meet Ssob (Dave Bornea) who will have made the ‘Batang Riles’ squad’s first few days an horrifying experience for them.
‘MBR’ will be replacing on the second slot the newly-concluded suspenserye ‘Widows’ War’ of Bea Alonzo and Carla Abellana, which wrapped its 145-episode run last Friday, January 17.
Jillian Ward and Michael Sager’s romantic drama ‘My Ilonggo Girl’ will continue to air at 9:35 pm from Monday to Thursday, while Dingdong Dantes’ nature-magazine show ‘Amazing Earth’ broadcasts on the slot every Friday night.
