As of press time, the music video for ‘Whiplash’ has since garnered more than 15 million views since it was uploaded onto YouTube on Monday, and has placed ninth in the platform’s Trending Music tab. It is also the #1 track in iTunes Philippines.

Aside from the title track, the new EP also includes five other songs, namely ‘Kill It,’ ‘Flights, Not Feelings,’ ‘Flowers,’ ‘Just Another Girl,’ and ‘Pink Hoodie.’

‘Whiplash’ marks the return of aespa, composed of Ningning, Karina, Giselle, and Winter, after five months.

Earlier this year, the girl group released their first full-length album titled ‘Armageddon,’ which carries the namesake track and ‘Supernova,’ among others.

aespa made their debut in 2020 through the hit single ‘Black Mamba,’ and went on to add to their discography the popular K-pop tracks like ‘Next Level,’ ‘Savage,’ ‘Girls,’ ‘Spicy,’ and ‘Drama.’

In April 2023, the group visited the Philippines for the first time to particpate in a joint concert with fellow Korean artists Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation and the 11-member boy band THE BOYZ.
