On Monday, April 8, GMA’s afternoon game show ‘Family Feud’ aired a special episode featuring the hosts of new Kapuso and the longest-running Kapamilya noontime program ‘It’s Showtime.’
Main hosts Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis led their respective teams.
Jhong Hilario, Amy Perez, and Jugs Jugueta joining the ‘Unkabogable Superstar’ Vice, while Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, and Teddy Corpuz went with the ‘Pambansang Dyosa’ Anne.
The first two rounds were in favor of Anne’s team, with them having an overwhelming 118-0 advantage by the end of the second round.
However, Vice’s team was able to pull off a shocking win after securing hundreds of points in the third and fourth rounds.
In the jackpot round, Vice and Jhong played for the benefit of PISTON jeepney drivers, but they were 50 points short of the Php 200,000 pot money and took home half the prize instead.
The episode immediately trended on social media, as well as on YouTube where the full uncut version of the said episode has since garnered more than 2 million views in 24 hours.
‘It’s Showtime’ recently launched its GMA Network simulcast last Saturday, April 6, more than nine months after the program first began airing on the sister secondary channel GTV.
Aside from GMA, GTV, GMA Pinoy TV, and the Kapuso Stream online channel, the noontime show also continues to air from Monday to Saturday at 12:00 noon on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC abroad.
Meanwhile, ‘Family Feud’ airs weekdays at 5:40 pm on GMA and Kapuso Stream.
