On Tuesday, October 31, it was announced that Japanese actor Mackenyu Arata will be holding a fan meeting event in Manila this November.
Titled ‘Closer To You: Fun Fan Meet in Manila,’ the event will happen on November 20, 2023 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Currently, the seat plan and other details are still kept under wraps.
Aside from the fan meeting, Mackenyu will also be headlining the 2023 Manila Pop Convention or ManiPopCon, where he will be appearing as a special guest for three days.
The pop convention will take place at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City from November 17 to 19, 2023.
Mackenyu gained huge popularity after portraying Roronoa Zoro in the Netflix live action adaption of the animé ‘One Piece’.
Aside from ‘One Piece,’ Mackenyu is also known for his other works, which includes his portrayal of Scar in the live-action adaptation of ‘Full Metal Alchemist,’ Yukishiro Enishi in the final installment of ‘Rurouni Kenshin,’ Naozumi Hiyama in ‘Overdrive,’ and the 2016 TV adaptation ‘Sakurasaku’.
Meanwhile, it was also just this year when it was announced that he has married his non-showbiz girlfriend.
