Despite that, she remains grateful for being an “Earth Queen.”

In a post on her social media pages, Miss Philippines Earth 2025 and digital and TV host Joy Barcoma confirmed that she will not be taking her final walk during the coronation night of the national competition in Malitbog, Bukidnon this Saturday, June 27.

Tonight, I may not have a farewell walk,” she said. “But perhaps that is the greatest reminder that a legacy is never measured by the number of steps she takes on stage but by footprints she leaves in the lives of others.”

Barcoma also emphasized: “Hindi natatapos sa entablado ang pagboses. At hindi limitado ng korona ang adbokasiya.

In a statement, the beauty queen emphasized that she will “forever and always (be) an Earth Queen.”

Joy said that she chooses to be grateful as her reign comes to a close, thanking foremost those who supported and loved her from the beginning.

To everyone who believed in me, supported me, and loved me from the very beginning, maraming maraming salamat po,” she wrote.

The beauty queen, who has since expanded her wings as a host across TV, online, and events, also noted that she is “proud” of having devoted herself to making her reign “meaningful.”

I maximized every platform I was given and I pursued every opportunity to serve, even if it meant walking much of that journey on my own. I have never waited for doors to open for me. I have knocked on them myself so I can pass this title better than I found it,” she added.

The 27-year-old personality also told that her Miss Philippines Earth journey also reminded her that “support doesn’t always come from every corner, even within the spaces you represent.

But despite that, I chose grace, respect, and gratitude. That is how I carried this title, and that is how I choose to leave it,” she furthered.

Joy then directed a message to the Miss Philippines Earth Organization, where she expressed her gratitude for entrusting her with a “title that became so much more than a crown.”

In spite of not taking her final walk, the outgoing queen asked the public to continue supporting Miss Philippines Earth.

This platform has never been about a queen. It has always been about a mission greater than ourselves. A mission to protect our planet, uplift our communities, and inspire others to become stewards of the Earth,” she stressed.

Moreover, the beauty queen also asked to support the next queen the same way the people have all supported and loved her year-long journey.

Thank you, Miss Philippines Earth. Thank you, everyone, for changing my life. I will always and forever be an Earth Queen,” she concluded her message.

The said post has since garnered support for Jusa, including from Miss Universe Philippines 2026 and Miss Earth Water 2024 Bea Millan-Windorski, who commented: “Our forever Queen who used her voice for our people 🤍🌱

As of this writing, the Miss Philippines Earth pageant has not yet issued any formal statement regarding the matter.
