The show is the next Kapamilya program to be carried by the Kapatid network under their renewed partnership.
On Friday, June 26, ABS-CBN released a new teaser for the upcoming primetime comeback of the Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo, who will be joined by the Multimedia Prince James Reid and Her Majasty Maja Salvador, for the drama series Someone, Someday.
In the 15-second preview, viewers get a new look of Bernardo’s image for the project, where she is expected to portray the character of Billy.
In the last slide of the clip, the network revealed the platforms where it will be aired and streamed with the list led by the streaming giant Netflix — where episodes will be streamed first — the flagship Kapamilya Channel on cable TV, and free-to-air platforms ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and the latest addition to the bunch, TV5.
Although, the exact premiere date for Someone, Someday has not yet been revealed as of this writing.
In its statement, ABS-CBN said the inclusion of TV5 in the lineup of platforms will help Someone, Someday reach more audiences across the country.
“More viewers will be able to enjoy the primetime drama, a modern, feel-good and progressive series with a heart, as it becomes available on multiple platforms,” it said on the teleserye that is said to be an “exciting story about a young woman CEO who builds a dating app to help women find love.“
The Kapamilya network also noted that the shifting landscape of Philippine television has pushed the industry players to work together.
“As viewing habits continue to evolve, media companies continue to work together to bring more local programs to more audiences,” citing the recent launch of Coco Martin’s Sigabo last June 22, which also airs on the Kapamilya platforms and TV5.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the premiere, the cast of Someone, Someday, led by Kathryn, James, McCoy De Leon, Gela Atayde, Matt Evans, and more, will also join the Primetime Bida motorcade alongside the stars of Sigabo on Sunday, June 28 in San Fernando, Pampanga.
The addition of Someone, Someday to TV5’s TodoMax Primetime block signifies another development in the renewed partnership between ABS-CBN and the Kapatid network, which was briefly halted when their earlier supposed five-year deal was terminated back in January 2026 following a widely-publicized rift.
Following Sigabo last Monday (June 22), already up next in the reinvigorated tie-up between the media giants is the morning talk show Face To Face With Ate Koring, hosted by Korina Sanchez-Roxas, which will air weekdays at 11:00 am on TV5, ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and the Kapamilya Channel starting June 29.
