Proudly bringing the Philippines on the global stage.
On Thursday, June 11, the first-ever Mister Eco International pageant took place in Baguio City, where 19 pageant kings from all over the world competed for the chance of becoming the inaugural title holder.
The Philippines was represented in the said pageant by model and events host Kitt Cortez, who is not a stranger in the world of pageants having hosted prior ones several times.
Although, the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide, this time around, served as the country’s delegate in the competition, with Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski and Miss World Asia 2025 Krishnah Gravidez serving as hosts.
Cortez was able to standout and proceed to the succeeding stages of the competition, eventually making his way to the question-and-answer portion.
“What does it truly mean to be Mister Eco International?” Kitt was asked. He then responded by saying: “To me, being Mister Eco International means integrating environmentally responsible choices in our daily lives. It’s about transforming our willingness into action. It’s about turning planet care into a daily habit and not just an optional thing.”
He continued by adding that the title emphasizes “commitment” to environmental stewardship.
“Being Mister Eco International is about a genuine commitment to environmental stewardship. And as far as I’m concerned, anyone can be Mister Eco as long as you possess the purest intentions in your heart and, of course, you practice integrity and responsibility, especially in the smallest of your decisions.”
In the end, Cortez finished second runner-up and was bestowed the continental title Mister Eco International Asia 2026.
The main title eventually was eventually won by Egyptian representative Yosef Ali, with other members in the Top 6 being the delegates from France, Italy, India, and Dominican Republic.
