She will be embarking on a new project abroad.
Filipina actress Lovi Poe is confirmed to be starring in a new international movie entitled Ignition, which is written and directed by James Erskine under the production house WestEnd Films.
In this new project, Poe will star alongside Game Of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, as well as BAFTA nominee Rory Kinnear.
In her Instagram post, Lovi shared the report from the trade publication Variety and wrote in the caption, “So excited to finally share this film I’ve been working on.”
She then revealed that the movie will be released at the Cannes Film Festival in France this May.
Meanwhile, she also quipped in the same caption that the “north remembers,” as she ought to bring the “a little Game Of Thrones energy.”
According to Variety, the movie is already in the post-production phase.
In the story, Williams plays Sylvie Johnson, “whose drive to London is thrown into chaos when an anonymous caller informs her that a bomb has been planted in her car.”
“Trapped and cut off from any outside help, Sylvie is forced to follow the terrorist’s instructions, her every move watched, and with no choice to deliver the ticking bomb to its target — the Royal Albert Hall,” it added.
It is one of the two international projects of Lovi, as she has been announced as part of the cast of My Sister’s Bones with Olga Kurylenko.
The actress was last seen on local TV via the top-rated teleserye, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo as the actress of the original female lead Mokang.
She left the show in early 2024 and later starred in the movie Guilty Pleasure.
Earlier in 2025, she remained visible to the public after participating in the Bench Body of Work fashion show in March and the ABS-CBN Ball in April.
By September of that year, she would give birth to her first child with husband Monty Blencowe.
