A feat for the show as its current season is now down to its final few nights.
The iconic Kapuso telefantasya, Encantadia, has reached a new milestone as its official YouTube channel hit 1 million subscribers on the said video sharing platform.
The said page houses full episodes, highlights, and exclusive content of the ongoing Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre season, as well as archived materials from the 2005 and 2016 series and to date, has 1.47 million subscribers.
During the media conference held last April 30 at the GMA Network Center, the new generation Sang’gres, led by Kapuso Prime Gem Bianca Umali (who plays Terra), Angel Guardian (Deia), and Kelvin Miranda (Adamus), and Infinite Star Rhian Ramos (Mitena), received the awards from YouTube.
These were the much-coveted Gold and Silver Play Buttons Creator Awards, which are gifted to channels that have surpassed the 1 million and 100,000 subscribers mark, respectively.
“Reaching both the Gold and Silver Play Buttons underscores how powerful digital platforms like YouTube have become in extending the reach of our content,” said JR Remigio, GMA New Media, Inc. (GMA NMI) Assistant Vice President and AVOD Business and Content Management.
GMA New Media, Inc. is the technology and innovation arm of GMA Network and manages the channel.
“At GMA New Media, we’re focused on building communities around our shows, where audiences can connect with GMA programs anytime, anywhere,” he added.
The platform’s recognition of the Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre comes just in time for its highly anticipated finale week, airing which will air until Friday, May 8.
The last few episodes of Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre airs at 8:00 pm on GMA Prime and Kapuso Stream and 9:45 pm on GTV.
