Over the weekend, the Aurora Music Festival was held in Clark, Pampanga. The two-day event saw multiple music acts perform, led by P-pop group SB19 and the OPM band IV Of Spades.

Meanwhile, in the pre-show, there were also a number of performers and one of them was the group Showtime Baby Dolls, who are regular fixtures of the ABS-CBN noontime variety program It’s Showtime.

The seven-member team, comprising Arianne Dela Cruz, Chole Florendo, Johaira Moris, Juby Sabino, Jelai Ahamil, Eriel Reyes, and Ina Ortega, were formed in 2023. They were all formerly contestants of the It’s Showtime segments Girl on Fire and Sexy Babe.

The group caught the attention of netizens when the clip of their performance of their single Oooh Lala Baby was posted by Philippine Concerts and gained traction online.

At present, the video has already achieved more than 1.9 million views.

Another post, made by a certain account called banter on X has garnered over 319,000 views and features an embed of their debut stage on It’s Showtime for the single Ikembot Mo.

Both songs are part of their recently-released extended play ZoomBaby Dolls, which was dropped last March.

According to their label StarPop, it is inspired by “fitness routines, daily glow-ups, and feel-good moments” that aims to encourage listeners to embrace wellness and live life to the fullest.

The lead track is Ikembot Mo, which is described as “a playful song with catchy hooks depicting confidence and fun with its rhythmic chants and provocative vibe.”

The song was composed and produced by Christian Martinez, arranged and mixed and mastered by Albert Tamayo, with StarPop label head Rox Santos as supervising producer.

Other tracks in the EP include Clap Clap Clap Alright!, Kitang Kita, and Dulce Tirah Tirah.
