They are the first program to broadcast from the state-of-the-art facility.
On Saturday, April 25, TV5’s music countdown show Vibe made another major move as it transfers to its new permanent home along Sheridan Street in Mandaluyong City.
After launching at the TV5 Complex in Novaliches, Quezon City and shifting to the Meralco Theater in Pasig City, the Kapatid program is now the first-ever production of the network to be produced live from the newly-constructed MVP Studios—which is located right beside The Launchpad and TV5 Media Center.
On its first day from their new digs, Vibe kicked off the show with a timelapse of the set construction inside the studio, which can accommodate up to 800 people.
The entire building was also lit in purple as the Vibe jocks—Dylan Menor, Ryle Santiago, Ana Ramsey, Joao Constancia, Paolo Angeles, Kych Minemoto, and Maxie Andreison—and the Gen Vs were introduced leading to the production number with Elmo Magalona.
Also present during the episode were stars of the new TV5 shows. Enrique Gil and Andrea Brillantes were there for A Secret In Prague, while My Bespren Emman was represented by JM de Guzman, Shaina Magdayao, and child star Ryrie Sophia.
Not to be forgotten are musical performances from the likes of The Juans, Lilly, VVINK, and more.
Before the end of the episode, TV5 chairman Manny Pangilinan also made a special appearance to celebrate with the squad all the way from Singapore.
During which, he said, “Congratulations to the team that built the new studio. Very impressive. Your show is very good tonight.”
“Ang hinihiling ko na lang sa inyo, every Saturday that you perform, you deliver a show that is better than the previous Saturday. So you improve every week towards that level of excellence that TV5 deserves,” MVP said.
THE MVP STUDIO
This new studio is understood to be the same project that was first announced back in February 2025, constructed on a plot of land beside the TV5 Media Center in Mandaluyong.
According to chairman Manny Pangilinan back then, the cost of the 10-storey building is pegged at PHP4 billion, with the first phase originally targeted to be finished before the end of 2025 and completed in two-and-a-half years.
Thrre studios were confirmed to be included in the original masterplan, with Studio W which was supposedly meant for Willie Revillame, who is one of the partners in this project, Studio E for Eat Bulaga, and Studio Q for other productions of the MediaQuest group.
Although, Revillame had already confirmed that he will not be utilizing the studio for his Wil TV program Wilyonaryo, which will instead be produced at the Wil Tower Mall in Quezon City.
The Mandaluyong complex, officially known as the TV5 Media Center, has been the official home of the network since December 2013, with productions of News5 being the first tenants to make the move to the news building back then.
Supposedly, there was an original entertainment wing to be built beside the news building, but that was later changed to an office tower called the Launchpad building.
At present, there are three main TV studios inside the media center. Studio 4 is where Eat Bulaga emanates from, with Studio 5 dedicated to Frontline Pilipinas and the live programs of News5 and Cignal TV, and Studio 6 for Face To Face. Radio booths for True FM and One PH are also inside the said building.
