Making the movie even more important for their fans.
In their guest apperance on Bianca Gonzalez’s Paano Ba To? podcast, Kapamilya loveteam Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, collectively known as DonBelle, shared an important detail regarding their upcoming movie Tayo Sa Wakas.
Accoridng to the leading man, they have mutually discussed the project to be their “last” together, at least for now.
“We’ve done so many projects throughout the years. We decided that for this specific project, it will be our last DonBelle project for now,” he said.
Belle then shared that it is the reason why the project necessitated growth from the both of them as actors.
“And the time apart I feel like would allow us to grow, actually find what we want, find who we are, and come back as better people,” she added.
Donny also noted that they have reached a point hwere they are choosing to support each other’s growth throughout the process of making the movie, which is still in the middle of filming.
“‘Di namin alam when’s the next time we’ll be able to shoot a specific type of scene again. […] I’m just glad that we get to go through this together because [we’ve] been working together for a while now,” he furthered.
The New Gen Matinee Idol also said that while their supporters mean the world to them, they felt that it is already time for them to make this move.
“But this is a decision we’ve made because we really feel that it’s also time. More than just being in a love team, we’re also actors,” he pointed out. “This is something that will help us as we navigate through our next decisions in life with what projects we want to take and how we want to further level up our craft.”
For Belle, she assured that they remain supportive of each other whether they are working with each other or not. “[A]nd this is the best step to growth, and that’s why we really decided on doing it,” she continued.
Mariano also said, “Now that we said this is our last for now, we really want to make it worth it for everyone. Right now, we are just really giving our best, everything.”
Tayo Sa Wakas marks the first movie of the duo, collectively known as DonBelle, since An Inconvenient Love in 2022.
It will also mark their comeback project after last starring together in How To Spot A Red Flag, which aired in 2025.
Under the direction of Cathy Garcia-Sampana, the film is set to be released in theaters on May 27, 2026.
