While she is not active in showbusiness anymore, she still showed up for her fellow Kapamilyas.

In a post on her Instagram account, actress Angel Locsin uploaded pictures of her memorable projects during her active years as a member of the ABS-CBN family from 2007 to 2021.

In the caption, she did not only express her support, but also confirmed what has previously been kept lowkey from the public, including her fans.

Kapamilya? Hindi man Lopez ang apelyido ko—[and] I may be retired and no longer an employee—pero ang puso ko, nandito pa rin. Titindig para sa ating pamilya,” she wrote amid the challenges that the company is facing.

True to your slogan: ‘Once a Kapamilya, always a Kapamilya.’ Buong puso, hanggang ngayon-para sa ABS-CBN,” she added.

In the replies section, she earned reactions from her fellow Kapamilyas, such as her own stepson and Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab 2.0 third big placer Joaquin Arce, the reality show’s host Bianca Gonzalez-Intal, actress Agot Isidro, as well as employees of the media giant.

Meanwhile, fans and followers were also left stunned after reading Angel’s seeming conformation about her “retirement,” four years since she chose to step out of the limelight after tying the knot and settling down with cinematographer and entrepreneur Neil Arce.

It was back in 2007 when Angel, who was then a prime leading lady of GMA Network, made the controversial decision to jump ship to ABS-CBN at the height of the “network wars.”

Despite that, she was able to leave an indelible mark, as she brought her magic both on the small- and big-screens, with her top-rating TV series and blockbuster movies.

Some of her projects with the network include Lobo, Only You, Imortal, Toda Max, One More Try, Four Sisters And A Wedding, The Legal Wife, Pilipinas Got Talent, La Luna Sangre, and The General’s Daughter.

During the COVID-19 pandemic and after the terrestrial network’s shutdown, she hosted the public service show Iba ‘Yan, which served as her last project with ABS-CBN before her sabbatical.
