He joins a growing list of Korean and other Asian personalities that have gotten theirs.
Last February 25, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong announced that Korean actor-idol Lee Jun Ho of the K-pop group 2PM is getting his own wax figure.
“Renowned for his captivating talent and charisma, Lee Junho has charmed fans around the globe as both a K-pop sensation and a respected actor,” the famous museum described his career that started when he debuted in 2008 with the K-pop group 2PM.
According to Madame Tussauds, the sitting for the wax figure took place in South Korea. During which, detailed measurements of facial contours, hand shapes, posture, expressions, skin tone, and other physical details were taken to ensure remarkable realism.
The 36-year-old personality remarked, “It was fascinating to see even the smallest details being recorded. Preparing my wax figure felt like starting a new project, filled with excitement and a desire to do my best.”
For Wade Chang, General Manager of Merlin Entertainments Hong Kong, “Lee Junho is an artist who embodies the essence of both stage and screen, captivating a truly global fanbase. His wax figure will serve as a striking symbol of the vibrant cultural phenomenon that is the Hallyu today.”
Since his debut nearly 18 years ago, Junho has established himself as a leading Hallyu artist with a global fanbase and starred in the past year in the dramas Typhoon Family and Cashero.
