Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano to star in ‘Tayo Sa Wakas’

The duo’s big screen comeback is happening sooner than what everyone thinks.

On Monday, February 16, ABS-CBN’s film production outfit Star Cinema kicked off the week with a major announcement.

The Kapamilya studio dropped the three minute project announcement video for the tandem of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, collectively known as DonBelle.

The said clip was more than simply revealing the title of their film, which was first made public last February 1 on ASAP.

Instead, fans and viewers were taken to a trip down memory lane as the two reenacted their past characters like Deib and Maxpein in He’s Into Her; Ino and Cara from Love Is Color Blind; Manny and Ayef from An Inconvenient Love; Bingo and Ling from Can’t Buy Me Love; and Matt and Cha from How To Spot A Red Flag.

After all that, they gave a peek into the dynamics of their new characters in the movie, which has been given the title Tayo Sa Wakas.

While their names have not yet been revealed, the couple that they will be portraying were given a melancholy background music as they were stuck in traffic.

Belle’s character asked: “Asan na ba tayo?” To which, Donny responded with: “Dito pa rin.“

Confirmed in the same clip is the Cathy Garcia-Sampana’s direction of the movie, which is slated to be released in cinemas on May 27, 2026.

At present, no further details, including the names of their fellow cast members, have been revealed.

This movie will be their first since An Inconvenient Love in 2022 and their reunion after the digital-first rom-com drama How To Spot A Red Flag in 2025.

Since then, they have been seen in separate projects, with Donny becoming a judge in Pilipinas Got Talent and leading the action series Roja, alongside Kyle Echarri.

Meanwhile, Belle joined forces with Maricel Soriano, Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, and JK Labajo in the blockbuster family drama movie Meet, Greet & Bye, which was also under Garcia-Sampana, and was screened in theaters last November 2025.
