It is a different project from the one previously announced.
Lisa, the Thai member of the popular K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, has booked another acting job.
Following her debut as Mook in the hit series The White Lotus Season 3, the 28-year-old pop superstar is set to join another movie.
Announced by streaming giant Netflix, it is slated to be a romantic-comedy film inspired by the 1999 picture Notting Hill, which was top-billed by Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.
It is also written by Katie Silberman, who had previously worked on Set It Up, Booksmart, and Don’t Worry Darling.
At present, further details such as the title, Lisa’s fellow cast members, and the release date on the streaming service are yet to be revealed.
Last December, it was also announced that she will be starring alongside Korean actors Don Lee and Lee Jin-uk for the action movie entitled TYGO.
That being her first major role in a movie, Lisa expressed her being proud of it.
“I’m so honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible actors,” she said. “Being in an action movie has always been a dream of mine, so for my film debut to be such an exciting project feels very special.”
Furthermore, the latest announcement comes just weeks ahead of the scheduled release of Blackpink’s latest mini-album, Deadline, on February 27.
