Almost eight years after their last big screen project.
On Friday, February 6, production company Viva Films dropped the full trailer of the new movie that will star the tandem of award-winning artists Bela Padilla and Carlo Aquino.
The two, who are returning to cinemas together after eight years, will be leading the new movie entitled A Special Memory, almost eight years since they top-billed another movie, Meet Me in St. Gallen in 2018.
An adaptation of the Japanese series Pure Soul and the Korean picture A Moment To Remember, the Philippines’ version is written by National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, Ricky Lee and is directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng.
In the two-minute-long preview, viewers get to see a glimpse of the start of the relationship between Padilla and Aquino’s characters Sandra and Jesee.
However, it will be rocked with diagnosis of a rare type of Alzheimer’s Disease, which will cause her to lose the memories even of the people she loves.
A Special Memory is scheduled to be released in cinemas on March 11, 2026, according to Viva Films.
Aside from the movie, Bela and Carlo are also active in television.
The former is currently preparing for her comeback on primetime TV and doing full-length teleserye through the action series Blood vs. Duty with Richard Gutierrez, Gerald Anderson, Baron Geisler, and Barbie Imperial.
Meanwhile, the latter was recently seen in the Philippine adaptation of It’s Okay To Not Be Okay that ran from July to November 2025.
