On Thursday, November 27, the Miss International 2025 pageant took place at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

A total of 80 contestants from all over the world competed for the chance of taking home the crown this year, with Binibining Pilipinas – International 2024 Myrna Esguerra representing in the pageant.

She aimed for the eighth crown in the said pageant, with past Filipina winners being Gemma Cruz (1964), Aurora Pijuan (1970), Melanie Marquez (1979), Precious Lara Quigaman (2005), Bea Rose Santiago (2013), and Kylie Versoza (2016).

Esguerra was able to pass through the first cut, which saw the 80 go down to just the Top 20. Again, she made it to the next round after she was included in Top 10.

After the question-and-answer round, the Filipina bet was able to secure herself a slot in the final five, eventually earning the highest placement of the country since Ahtisa Manalo’s first runner-up fimish in 2018.

Myrna was then hailed as the fourth runner-up, while Catalina Duque was crowned as Miss International 2025.

Meanwhile, other runners-up were Zimbabwean Yollanda Chimbarami (first runner-up), Paola Guzmán from Bolivia (second runner-up), and Melliza Yulian of Indonesia (third runner-up).
