They delivered a concert-like experience inside the famous office desk.
On Tuesday, November 24 (Manila time), American public broadcaster NPR uploaded on its YouTube channel the latest installment of its Tiny Desk Concert series.
Featured in the over 28-minute episode were five members of the K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN, namely Joshua, Mingyu, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino, who visited the NPR office in Washington, D.C.
According to the channel, another member, DK, was scheduled to participate, but lost his voice days before this concert, as it took place after their concert at the U.S. capital.
“We were devastated, but it’s important to note how Joshua, Mingyu, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino not only learned DK’s parts quickly, but executed them flawlessly,” NPR said in its description.
While it wasn’t easy for them to change the arrangements of the songs in just one day, the members were still able to showcase a fun concert.
However, they still made history by becoming the very first K-pop band to play behind the Tiny Desk.
During the episode, the members sang some of their hit songs over the years, starting strong with Super, followed by Darl+ing, _WORLD, To you, HBD, SOS, Rock with you, CLAP, and HOT.
They also ended it, just like their major arena and stadium concerts, with their 2016 single VERY NICE.
SEVENTEEN debuted in 2015 and recently celebrated their 10th anniversary with the release of their latest album entitled Happy Burstday, which carries the lead track Thunder.
