On Tuesday, September 30, Korean actor Kim Min-gue delighted fans with a post on his Instagram account, where he announced the end of his mandatory military service.
“Hello, this is actor Kim Min-gue. Enlisted on April 1, 2024 and was ordered to be deployed on September 30, 2025,” the translated caption of the said post read.
In which, he also wrote a letter dedicated to his fans and told them, “One year and six months have passed—long if you think of it as long, short if you think of it as short.”
He also thanked them for being with him through the difficult monents and patiently waited for him to be discharged from his duties.
The 30-year-old likewise expressed his thankfulness to his fellow soldiers and officers who was with him throughout.
“I express my deep respect and gratitude to all the soldiers of the Armed Forces who are protecting the country in their respective positions at this very moment,” he added.
Lastly, “Thank you very much to my fans who have always waited for me with a steady heart, and I will greet you with a better version of myself and work as soon as possible.”
Kim Min-gue started his career in 2013 through ‘Monster,’ which was followed by his portrayals ‘Signal,’ ‘Because This Is My First Life,’ ‘The Rich Son,’ and ‘Crime Scene Season 3.’
He would later receive rising fame through his roles in ‘Queen: Love and War,’ ‘Backstreet Rookie,’ ‘Snowdrop,’ ‘Business Proposal.’
The actor would soon bag his first lead role in ‘The Heavenly Idol,’ where he played dual roles as the K-pop star Woo Yeon Woo and the priest from another dimension Rembrary.
